As of July 1st, 2024, the designer is working on rebidding plans, with document completion anticipated in July. No definite date for the rebid.** NTTA is soliciting sealed bids for a two (2) year contract to procure and install the Queue Warning System which includes Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), thermal cameras, and related ITS infrastructure as shown on the plans. The proposed Queue Warning System will be installed on the southbound direction of Dallas North Tollway (DNT) between Lemmon Ave and the exit to IH 35E. Question Deadline : 08/21/2023 at 10:00 AM CT Contract Term Two (2) years D/M/WBE Goal 15% Proposal Guaranty in the form of a cashier's check, or teller's check (as such terms are defined in Section 3.104 of the Texas Business and Commerce Code), or a bank money order, or a bid bond for Fifty two thousand and no/100 dollars ($52,000.00). In the event that this Proposal is accepted by NTTA, the bidder shall procure payment and performance bonds if required by the contract for the full amount of the contract so as to secure proper compliance with the terms and provisions of the contract, to insure and guarantee the work until NTTA makes final payment of the full amount earned by the Contractor pursuant to Final Payment, of Special Provision to Item 9, Measurement and and to guarantee payment of all lawful claims for labor performed and materials furnished in the fulfillment of the contract. NTTA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities, which are in the best interest of NTTA. This project will procure and install the Queue Warning System on southbound Dallas North Tollway (DNT) between Lemmon Ave and the exit to IH 35E to improve traffic safety. The Queue Warning System includes two (2) Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), thermal cameras, and related ITS infrastructure as shown on the plans. Overhead structure for the DMS and the foundation for ground-mounted cabinets are included as well. Note the thermal cameras will be provided and installed by NTTA force. Testing and integration of the Queue Warning System components such as DMS and thermal cameras should be conducted in coordination with the NTTA Traffic Incident Management (TIM) and IT Department staff, with the assistance from the device vendors as needed. The project scope also includes the procurement and installation of fiber optic conduits and cables from the IH 35E exit to Katy Trail bridge as identified in the plans.
