Reference Number 0000326484 The primary objectives of the water master plan are to project the water supply needs of the City, compare the anticipated demand to the currently available raw water portfolio, identify necessary improvements that may be required over time, prioritize the capital improvements related both to maintenance and to growth of the system, to provide guidance in establishing rates to meet those goals, and to provide an updated water model for the city. This information will be used by the City to develop planning documents, which will include its annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP) with each annual budget cycle for the next several years. An additional objective is to provide City staff with a report that will be a day-to-day planning tool that City can use to guide their decisions for the future. The water master plan should also include recommendations to assist the City in setting the amounts of annual adjustment of water related fees and charges.
