Renovation of a municipal facility in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
CPA's main office is in the Lyndon B. Johnson ("LBJ") Building, located at 111 East 17th Street, Austin, Texas. CPA requires a Sound Masking System to mask sounds and reduce perceptible noise on the LBJ Building's fourth floor. The Fourth Floor Plan of the Lyndon B. Johnson Building is included in this RFO as Exhibit A (LBJ Fourth Floor Plan) and provides the current layout of the Fourth Floor that includes approximately 20,000 square feet of open office spaces, conference rooms and other rooms and workspaces where ambient noise can create distractions or compromise privacy. CPA wishes to mitigate these environmental noise conditions by introducing a low-level, unobtrusive adaptable background noise into the environment to make distracting and disruptive sounds less perceptible. CPA uses VoiceArrest(TM) Project Management Software v.4.2 to monitor the sound masking systems installed on other floors of the LBJ Building. 08/08/23 Deadline for Submission of Questions (2:00 p.m., CT) 08/10/23 Release of Official Responses to Questions (or as soon thereafter as practical) CPA anticipates making a contract award to one (1) Successful Respondent for the Services. CPA reserves the right not to award a contract for the performance of all or part of the Services. This RFO is not exclusive and CPA reserves the right to issue additional solicitations regarding the Services or similar services at any time. Successful Respondent shall provide the Services listed in Price Schedule 1, Section II (Mandatory Price Sheet) of this RFO. a) Successful Respondent shall provide a complete System that is compatible with and capable of being monitored by VoiceArrest(TM) Project Management Software v.4.2 and includes, at a minimum, the following features: 1. Controller: a. Compact smart controller system; b. Output channels with independent volume and equalizing per channel; c. Automatic adaptive volume response capability d. Wall-mounted within the LBJ Building's fourth floor mechanical room; e. Capability of connecting to CPA's network via data-drop provided by CPA. 2. Speakers: mounted in plenum space using universal hanging kit; 3. Universal hanging kits for speakers; 4. Cables: 18/2 shielded, plenum-rated cable, 500 ft per box; and 5. Noise sensors: with continuous, adaptive sound masking response. 6. Quantities. a. Respondent's offered Controller shall include a quantity of channels sufficient and appropriate to provide high-quality sound masking coverage suitable to the total square feet, variety of spaces, and layout of areas depicted in Exhibit A (LBJ Fourth Floor Plan). b. Price Schedule 1, Section II (Mandatory Price Sheet) includes estimated quantities only. Respondent's Offer shall include pricing that includes quantities sufficient to deliver a System complete and in place and that provides high-quality sound masking coverage within the total square feet, variety of spaces, and layout of areas depicted in Exhibit A (LBJ Fourth Floor Plan). 7. Respondent's Offer shall include a layout of Respondent's proposed System. a. Exhibit A (LBJ Fourth Floor Plan) shall be used in rendering Respondent's layout of the proposed System. To assist Respondents, CPA has included a .pdf version of Exhibit A (LBJ Fourth Floor Plan) and included a CAD file as an attachment file to the RFO posted to the ESBD. CPA does not guarantee accuracy of measurements provided by CPA. It is solely the responsibility of Respondent to verify accuracy of measurements to be used by Respondent in calculating measurements and determining quantities included in Respondent's Offer. b. Respondent's layout of the proposed System shall include a legend and identification and location of key components of the System including the controller, speakers and noise sensors.
