The Capital Regional Transportation Council is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) carrying out federal requirements for cooperative transportation planning and programming within the metropolitan area that includes Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties, except the Town of Moreau and the Village of South Glens Falls. The Albany County Broadway Multimodal Resiliency Plan was proposed by Albany County. The study is being funded by Albany County, the Capital District Transportation Authority, and the Transportation Council through its 2023-2024 Unified Planning Work Program. It is part of an effort to implement the Transportation Council's Metropolitan Transportation Plan, New Visions 2050. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The study has a fixed budget of $115,000 for consultant services. The Transportation Council, on behalf of Albany County, will administer the Consultant contract and will jointly manage the study with the County. The Transportation Council is issuing this Request for Expressions of Interest (REI) to qualified firms or individuals to undertake the Resiliency Plan.
