New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Water Meter Installations. NBU intends to enter into a contract with the successful respondent to provide water meter installation services. The successful respondent shall perform water meter replacements/changeouts and commissioning, deployment of new residential water meter set installations at new developments as well as within the service area of NBU. In accordance with Chapter 252 of the Texas Local Government Code, NBU will award the contract issued in connection with this RFP to the respondent whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to NBU considering the relative importance of price and the other evaluation factors described herein. NBU reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all proposals, waive any or all formalities or technicalities, accept the proposal or portions of the proposal determined to be the most advantageous to NBU considering the relative importance of price and the other evaluation factors included herein, and hold the proposals for a period of 120 days without taking action. Respondents are required to hold their proposals firm for the same period of time. NBU Water Service Territory is 81 square miles. The longest diagnal across the system is 13.5 miles along the IH 35 corridor, see Exhibit E NBU shall accept requests for additional information or clarification concerning this RFP on or before 2:00 PM CT, August 23, 2023. NBU shall not answer any questions submitted after 2:00 PM CT, August 23, 2023. The annual not to exceed amount for this New Water Meter Installation project is $500,000 with not to exceed total amount of $2,500,000 for the duration of the entire project. ANTICIPATED TERM OF CONTRACT The anticipated term for the proposed contract is one (1) year with up to four (4) one (1) year renewals.
