Renovation of an educational facility in Tempe, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Arizona State University (ASU) extends an invitation to interested and qualified firms or individuals to submit a statement of qualifications to provide services as Construction Manager at Risk in support of the restoration to the exterior of Old Main located on the Tempe campus. The successful CMAR in this selection will be able to provide services at ASU's discretion for renovation/ modification projects, related to this project as described below, for the duration of the warranty period of two years after substantial completion. Clean the exterior brick and stone. ii. Repair and repoint the existing brick masonry and stone mortar. iii. Remove and replace non-matching, damaged mortar joints that were repointed from previous repair work. iv. Seal the brick and stone. v. Replace existing windows and doors with new insulated glazing to closely match original style/ finish. vi. Repair to interior window and door jamb/head/sill wall surfaces. vii. Patch and repair existing metal roof. viii. Remove landscaping placed up against building that may be causing water damage. ix. Regrade surfaces adjacent to the building to divert rain water away from the building and to prevent the accumulation of rain water. x. Additional scope such as utility and infrastructure improvements as determined during the design phase. ASU reserves the right to cancel all agreements at their discretion.
