Building Demolition, 9621 Pacific Avenue, Franklin Park, Il Consists of Demolishing a 3,400sf, One Story Brick Building and the Disposal of All Demolished Material. The Work Includes the Removal of Foundation Walls, Concrete Slabs, Including Building Floor Slab, Drive ways, and Sidewalks. Excavated Areas Are to Be Backfilled With Non-structural Soil and Topped With 12" of Topsoil and Seed. The Building Contains Asbestos Material That Will Require Removal and Disposal by a Qualified, Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractor. Refer to the Accompanying Asbestos Report. Contractor Will Be Responsible for Obtaining and Payment of All Applicable Demolition Permits. Bid Security in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in the form of bid bond, cash, certified check, cashier's check or draft payable to The Village of Franklin Park. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish either both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit acceptable to the Village for 100 percent of the Contract Price, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Award of Contract and Rights Reserved: the Contract Shall Be Awarded to the Lowest Responsible Bidder Based on Criteria Set Forth by the Village. The Village Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, Award Each Schedule Individually, and to Waive Any Informalities or Technicalities in Bidding. The Village Shall, in Its Sole Discretion, Determine What Does or Does Not Constitute an Informality or Technicality, and, in Submitting a Bid, the Bidder Agrees to Be Bound by That Determination. No Contract Will Be Awarded to Any Person or Entity That is in Arrears to the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois Upon Any Debt or Contract With the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois, or Who is a Defaulter as to Surety or Otherwise Upon Any Obligation to the Village of Franklin Park, Illinois.
