Furnish materials, labor, and equipment necessary to construct a seat wall adjacent to the existing fire lane below building G. I. Benches a. The contractor shall remove and relocate 6 existing benches adjacent to the fire lane. b. After the removal, the bench frames shall be cleaned and refinished with black Rust-Oleum spray paint or similar. c. The contractor shall reinstall the 6 benches mounting them on 6' x 10' x 4" thick 2500psi fiber reinforced concrete pads on the opposite side of the fire lane. d. Exact location of the concrete pads and benches shall be discussed at the mandatory prebid meeting. II. New Seat Wall a. The contractor shall construct a new 18" high by 180' long cmu seat wall. b. Seat wall shall be constructed with standard 8" x 8" x 16" cmu block and a standard 1 5/8" x 8" x 16" tile cap. See attached sketch for wall detail. c. CMU cells shall be solid grouted. d. The contractor must tone the area to locate existing utilities before the start of excavation. The contractor shall be responsible for repairing all damages to the existing lines at his own cost. e. The contractor shall backfill and grade area behind the new wall with excavated material. All rocks larger than 3/4 " must be removed and disposed of. If there is an excess of material, the contractor shall remove it from the site. f. After grading of the area behind the seat wall, the contractor shall seed the area with a similar type of grass.
