Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rock Island, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed work is within the City of Rock Island at 1300 17th Street; specifically the tennis courts/volleyball area of the park directly west of the picnic shelter. Construction consists of removal of the existing tennis courts, lighting pole foundations, tennis net poles and foundations, sidewalk, curb removal, re-grading and shaping of the tennis court and volleyball area, and finally fertilizing and seeding the entire re-graded area. The Contractor will be responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to this project including the State of Illinois law relating to prevailing wage and preference to citizens on public works. The City of Rock Island is committed to preserving equal rights for all of its citizens during the construction of its public works projects and encourages minority contractors to submit bids for this work. The City also encourages bidders to consider hiring subcontractors and employees of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. The City of Rock Island reserves the right to determine the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; to waive irregularities, and to reject any or all bids.
