The City of Bakersfield is seeking proposals in response to this Request for Qualifications/Proposal (RFQ/P) from a qualified, C-11 licensed contractor design/build team (Proposer) specializing in modernizing, fabricating, erecting, installing and repairing elevators to produce conceptual designs, work with City staff to refine the conceptual designs, prepare final design plans and construction documents and both install and construct the Elevator Modernization at the 18th and Eye Parking Garage (the Project). The City has estimated the project cost at $200,000 to $220,000 including design and construction. One of the said bonds shall guarantee the faithful performance of the said contract by the Contractor and shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The other of the said bonds shall guarantee payment to laborers, mechanics and material workers employed on the job under the contract, and shall be for an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract.
