Demolition, site work and addition to a stadium in Casper, Wyoming. Completed plans call for the addition of a stadium; for the demolition of a stadium; and for site work for a stadium.
The existing Casper Ice Arena was completed in 1985 and has a seating capacity of 660. The facility has seen increased use in recent years, particularly for hockey, and is now in need of expansion to accommodate various user groups and teams. In January 2023 the Casper City Council committed to partnering with private donors on the construction of a facility expansion that will include a second arena and additional features to enhance the experience for hockey, figure skating, leisure skating, and special events. Baxter, P.E. 307.235.8341 sbaxter@casperwy.gov Estimate value - $30,000,000 The design by the architect, HTG Architects, will provide an overall facility sufficient for hosting approximately 1,200 guests across two arenas and accessory space.
