Renovation of an educational facility in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of upgrading the original building's HVAC system to a geothermal ground source VRF system. This also includes the replacement and removal of roof mounted energy recovery units and exhaust fans. Work also includes the replacement of ceilings and any electrical modifications needed to facilitate the HVAC equipment upgrade. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price within ten days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of opening. Iowa City Community School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
