Renovation of a residential development in Winchester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Winchester Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the 667-2 Roof and Fascia Board Repair and Replacement, #344047 in Winchester, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Reverse Architecture. The Project consists of: roofing and sheathing replacement on two buildings in the development, which both require mold remediation, new attic insulation, and ventilation improvements. Exterior improvements include the replacement of soffit and fascia boards, and gutters. There are 3 alternates. The work is estimated to cost $270,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. The bids are to be prepared and submitted electronically. Tutorials and instructions on how to complete the electronic bid documents are available electronically Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub Bidder's Update Statement. Sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Winchester Housing Authority. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00 Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), non- refundable, payable electronically General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the supplier diversity office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 10.4% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (David.Mcclave@mass.Gov) 5 calendar days prior to the general bid date if the work is estimated to cost less than $500,000 or 10 calendar days prior to the general bid date if the work is estimated to cost $500,000 or more - No waivers will be granted after the bid date.
