Renovation of a military facility in Wolf Creek, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Project consists of a whole building renovation of historic Building 275 and the connected Building 259 (Trolley Station), along with historic restoration for interior and exterior aspects of the buildings. All systems will be replaced including: mechanical, electrical, communications, security, fire, and life safety. Architectural revisions include improvements to layout and updated interiors. The existing windows will be replaced to match the historic look meeting current anti-terrorism/force protection standards. Repairs needed to exterior include masonry and roofing. Reconfiguration of parking area and ancillary utility work in support of the renovation will also occur. Building 275 is a contributing structure to the Fort Leavenworth National Landmark Historic District; all work will be done in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Historic Preservation.
