The Bay County Board of County Commissioners is seeking statements of qualifications from qualified firms for the MPAWTF Senate Bill 64 Study and Design Services Project. The selected firm will perform a pre-design feasibility study of effluent disposal methods to determine the most efficient method in which to comply with Senate Bill 64 and produce a pre-design report that will detail the scope of the problem in the analysis area, outline design options, identify the tasks required to complete a resolution to the problem and ensure it meets Grant Agreement LPA0254 work plan project description. In 2021, the Florida Legislature passed Senate Bill 64 (SB 64) to help address the State's growing water shortage. SB 64 also requires wastewater treatment facilities that discharge treated effluent to Waters of the State cease by 2032. The project is being funded by a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Grant Agreement # LPA0254. It is imperative that Respondents examine and become familiar with the program established by the FDEP. Funding for the project has been made possible through this grant and is contingent on strict conformance to the guidelines set forth by FDEP. The Budget Estimate for this project is $1,500,000.00 Respondents shall submit all questions, in writing, to the Purchasing Department at Purchasing@baycountyfl.gov or FAX to (850) 248-8276.
