Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Edison, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of September 25, 2023, the project was awarded to P&A Construction, Inc., with an awarded amount of$539,720.94.** The purpose of this contract is to resurface Maplewood Avenue, John Street and adjacent roadways between Grandview Avenue West and Amboy Avenue as shown on the sketch plan or as directed by the Township, in accordance to the project plans and specifications, using funding from the Township's Community Development Block Grant Programs. The major items of work for this project consist of milling and resurfacing the roadway with 2-inches of Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course; the construction of new curbing, including removal and replacement of curbing, and/or curb and gutter, and concrete or asphalt driveway aprons where specified; the removal and reconstruction of curb returns and sidewalk for ADA-compliant public sidewalk curb ramps; traffic striping and signs; tree removals; and other incidental appurtenances necessary for a complete job. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. Section 3 requirements apply only to contracts awarded over $200,000.00. The provisions of the Federal Government Department of Labor's current wage rate determinations and the State's Prevailing Wage Act are requirements of this project. The higher of the Federal or State Wage Rate and the higher of the Federal or State Fringe Benefit Rate shall prevail. Project to be completed in 45 days after contract award. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid The minimum participation level offive percent (5%) for Minority Business Enterprises and three percent (3%) for Women Business Enterprises MBE/WBE has been established Project to be completed in 45 days after contract award.
