Site work for a water / sewer project in Groton, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Groton (the "City") is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced engineering and/or consulting firms to provide Services for engineering services for the Pine Island Road Drainage Project. (the "Project"). The culvert/headwalls, catch basin and associated drainage pipes which support a portion of Pine Island Road in the City of Groton are degrading. Stormwater discharges through the wall to a drainage ditch which subsequently outfalls to Fishers Island Sound. A catch basin to the south of the culvert/headwalls flows and discharges into the catch basin immediately adjacent to the headwall on the east side of the roadway. This is a low lying area with significant flooding issues. There is also significant tidal flow though the drainage ditches and culverts.
