Any work exhibited in the one, and not in the other, shall be executed as if it had been set forth in both. Should anything necessary for a clear understanding of the work be omitted from the specifications and plans, or should the requirements appear to be in conflict, the Contractor shall secure written instructions from the Engineer before proceeding with the construction affected thereby. Dimensions and elevations shown on the plans shall be accurately followed even though they differ from scaled measurements. No work shown on the plans, the dimensions of which are not indicated, shall be executed until necessary dimensions have been obtained from the Engineer.
