The County Commissioners of Charles County are hereby requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide construction of the new 10-inch diameter gravity sewer and low-pressure force main. The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received when such waiver is in the best interest of Charles County. Question Deadline 09/08/2023 at 8:00 AM ET The County will not provide responses to questions after the deadline to submit questions specified on the eProcurement Portal. This project entails the construction of a low-pressure sewer collection system to service the residences along Gateway Boulevard and Park Avenue off of Billingsley Road and a conveyance sewer along Billingsley Road. The new system will consist of 4", 3" and 2" low pressure PVC piping along Gateway Boulevard and Park Avenue and 10" PVC gravity sewer along with eleven (11) new manholes along Billingsley Road that will tie into the existing sewer system in MD Route 301 (Crain Highway). The project is located along Gateway Boulevard, Park Avenue off of Billingsley Road in White Plains, MD. This is an area known to have poor soil conditions for on-site septic systems with existing failing septic systems and thus needs a public sewer system.
