**As of December 14, 2023, project was awarded to Asphalt Contractors, awarded amount is $269,473.50.** The City of Uniontown is taking sealed bids for labor, equipment, materials and any incidentals required to completethe work required. This bid is intended to comply with the Rebuild Alabama Act, No. 2019-2,and the Alabama Code Title 39,of the Alabama Public WorksLaw. Bidders shall be requiredto comply with the provisions ofthe Rebuild Alabama Act, No.2019-2 and Title 39 of the Alabama Code regardless if therequirement is explicitly detailedin the bid proposal or not. Only bids from contractors ormaterial suppliers listed on the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) approved list of contractors and materials suppliers will be accepted.All bids must be marked withthe word "BID" on the outside of the bid package along withBid Proposal for the RESURFACING COUNTY ROAD 53FROM CEDAR BLUFF ROADTO NORFOLK SOUTHERNRAILWAY, the bid date, and the Alabama General Contractor's License Number. The contractor shall meet all Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Bonding andLicensing requirements as wellas all applicable laws, ordinances and codes of the U.S. Government, the State of Alabama, any relevant municipality, andthe COUNTY, and, specifically and without limitation, shal lcomply with all provisions of the Beason Hammond Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, commonly referred to asthe Immigration Act. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all Bids or any portion thereof.
