Renovation of a laboratory facility in Orangeburg, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Nathan Kline Institute are releasing this Request for Information (RFI) seeking information from interested firms and subject matter experts with knowledge and experience in providing information and measurements for a laboratory renovation and remodel. Experienced and interested firms are invited to submit responses with information that may be used for the purpose of educating OMH on the current state of the industry and the capability of the services and systems that are available in this area. This request does not constitute a commitment to issue a bid, or award a contract, or to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this inquiry. Questions will be due for the Request for Information will be due Thursday, August 31, 2023, by 3:00 PM. The Office of Mental Health will release answers on the New York State Contract Reporter and all respondents by Thursday, September 7, 2023, by 3:00 PM. PLEASE MAKE NOTE: This is NOT a Request for Proposal. Rather, it is an invitation to furnish the OMH regarding interest and capabilities of organizations to provide necessary Lab Renovation at OMH's Nathan Kline Institute. Location: 140 Old Orangeburg Rd, Orangeburg, NY 10962 1. Preparing shop drawings for study and approval by customer, where applicable. Drawings shall list all equipment to be delivered and installed by the vendor. 2. Providing skilled manpower to accomplish the installation in a professional manner. 3. Meet, unload, uncrate and distribute all equipment. 4. Installing shelves, setting base units in place, leveling and joining together, setting and sealing tops and sink basins, cup sinks or drains troughs, drains, overflows, and sink outlets with integral or separate tailpieces, hanging wall cases, attaching base molding, cutting shelves and tops to meet field conditions, installing filler panels, scribe strips and misc. items of equipment as shown on approved plans or listed in the specifications. 5. Providing any necessary hardware to allow connection of equipment and drilling shelves or tops to accept service. Service connection hardware will consist of tank nipples and lock nuts not attached but loose in boxes and properly marked for delivery to appropriate contractor for connection to roughed-in utilities. 6. Removing all cartons, crates and packaging material, accumulated as a result of the installation, to an onsite dumpster supplied by the customer. 7. Installing top protection to protect the work surface from damage by droppings, workman's shoes or tools, etc. if other trades have work to be completed after the installation of the equipment. If other trades remove the protection for any reason, and the equipment is damaged, the replacement of any damaged part will be at full list price. 8. One clean-up of equipment immediately upon completion of install, which includes wiping down all equipment installed and having premises broom cleaned. 9. Immediate notification to the job coordinator in case of discrepancies or significant delay during installation
