Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Perry, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
All anticipated rights of way and easements required for the project have been obtained or will be obtained prior to the bid opening Houston County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or technicalities or to advertise as appropriate. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Base Bid. Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition. The proposed construction consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary to complete the Talon Road Widening (project roadway length is 0.559 miles). Work includes grading, curb & gutter, sidewalk, base placement, paving (including overlay), storm drainage, and the implementation of the erosion, sediment, and pollution control plan and comprehensive monitoring program. Further work includes installation of and Water Mains and Sanitary Sewer Force Main. All work shall be in accordance with the Georgia Department of Transportation standard specifications and supplemental specifications (latest edition), the Georgia Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control (latest edition), and Houston County.
