As of May 22, 2025, a construction manager was awarded and construction is underway. A firm timeline for completion has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Constructed in 1998, the Schottenstein Center is a 19,049 seat sports and entertainment events facility that supports The Ohio State University's men's and women's basketball, men's ice hockey, high school championship sports, and a variety of concerts, shows, and touring productions. The large main loudspeaker clusters in the bowl seating area are at the end of their useful life. The Schottenstein Center is also in need of upgrades to the public area audio systems as well as updates to the amplification and signal processing for the entire system. The system also provides ancillary audio for life safety and public address announcements. The existing catwalk infrastructure and rigging in the main bowl seating area will need to be evaluated as part of this project. This project will utilize the Construction Manager At Risk delivery method to provide the audio system for the facility. The project and construction budget as listed in this RFQ is estimated. The project has been approved for design and construction services. This request is for Architect/Engineer (A/E) to provide design and project management to establish the schematic design concept, design development, construction documents, bidding, construction contract administration and post-construction services.
