Renovation of an educational facility in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

As of October 12,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded until sometime in December. The City of Fernandina Beach, Florida (City) is requesting sealed competitive bids from qualified Roofing Contractors for the restoration and replacement of the Peck Center Gymnasium Roofs (2 separate roof systems) in accordance with the Bid Documents. The existing roofs consist of one (1) modified bitumen system (approx. 9,000 sq ft) over a tectum cementitious wood fiber deck and one (1) gravel built-up system (approx. 8,500 sq ft) over a tectum cementitious wood fiber deck. CONTRACTOR shall begin no later than 45 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed; all work must be substantially completed by December 31, 2023. the bidder shall enclose a Certified Check or Bid Bond with each bid. A Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid price a If Bid is less than $100,000 no Bid Bond or Payment and Performance Bond required. Questions regarding the ITB requirements or process can be directed in writing to Wanda Weaks, Purchasing Agent The City reserves the right, based upon its deliberations and in its opinion, to accept or reject any or all submittals.
