As of September 26, 2024, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. The Natrona County Conservation District (District) is seeking designs on behalf of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (Department) for up to 5 miles of stream stabilization including 3 headcuts, each ~15-20 feet in depth on Lone Tree Creek, that are threatening wet meadows and contributing excessive sediment into the downstream North Platte River. The headcut stabilization sites are located at Latitude 42.43686 Longitude -106.33532, Latitude 42.43342 Longitude -106.34186, Latitude 42.42742 Longitude -106.35630 (Figure 1). The goal of the design phase is to identify a preferred design approach for stabilizing the headcuts at the identified sites, protecting and reestablishing wet meadows above the headcuts, slowing further sediment contributions to the downstream North Platte River, and promoting stream channel stability, natural channel function, and floodplain connectivity to potentially reclaim lost floodplain for the entire Lone Tree Creek channel. The bid should include, but not be limited to: 1.Prior experience and qualifications for this type of project. 2.Resources - equipment and personnel to meet project objectives. 3.Description of Methodology - describe plans and project management. 4.References - Headcut stabilization design projects. 4.Cost analysis and total price - sufficient detail to justify costs.
