Demolition, site work and renovation of a laboratory facility in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the demolition of a laboratory facility; for the renovation of a 3,184-square-foot laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.
As of September 30, 2024, per owner, construction started week of September 23, 2024. A design team and contractor have been identified. METRO RFP for Architectural and Engineering Design Services Pre-Qualification: Yes The scope of work on the project is to renovate the former Educated Palate café (3,183 GSF) into the Cybersecurity Lab. The Project will involve demolition, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC and test and balancing. This space will consist of an active learning classroom. Housing the MN Cyber Range (a cutting-edge cyber security simulation facility) A dedicated research space, space to host an Educational Security Operations Center (ESOC) for high-fidelity training, and administrative amenities to support the program as well as the students and faculty. The project will be constructed in 1 phase. The Owner intends to use the Design/Bid/Build delivery method for this project. Design completion February 2024. Bidding May 2024. Construction start September 2024. Final completion January 2025.
