Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sidney, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project will include replacement of sanitary sewer including sanitary laterals, replacement of existing 6" water main with 8" water main and full-depth road reconstruction. The Contractor shall be required to pay not less than the minimum prevailing wage rates for public improvements in Shelby County and the City of Sidney, Ohio as established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. All proposals shall be accompanied by a bond in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the Bid to the satisfaction of the City Manager or by a certified check made payable to the City of Sidney in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the Bid on a solvent bank, as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within seven (7) working days after written notification of acceptance has been given. When a Bidder bids on alternate types of construction, only one certified check or bond of the amount fixed in the legal notice will be required. When a proposal is accepted, and within seven (7) days thereafter, the Bidder whose proposal is so accepted will be required to enter into a Contract in the form hereto attached and give a bond in the sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the proposal, executed by an authorized surety, guaranty or trust company, or companies, to the satisfaction of the Owner. State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates apply. The undersigned bidder states that he/she/they is/are the only person(s) interested in the bid and agrees that shall all or any bids be accepted, to enter into a prescribed contract within seven (7) business days of the written Notice of Award for the faithful performance of the labor and furnishing of tools, machinery, equipment, and materials in such bid as accepted and to fully complete the said work as follows: Substantial completion of the project shall be on or before August 2, 2024. Final completion of the project and readiness for final payment shall be on or before August 16, 2024. If the above completion dates are not met, liquidated damages shall be applied against the appropriate contract total as follows: Substantial Completion: Two hundred fifty dollars ($250) per day beyond the substantial completion date. Final Completion: Five hundred dollars ($500) per day beyond the final completion date. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the Contract to the lowest and best bidder. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity discovered in any Bid, which in the City's judgment best serves their interest. The City reserves the right to award any, all, or a combination of Bid items, if applicable.
