The City of Vancouver is searching for qualified, experienced and reliable service provider(s) to provide clean-up services in and around active and abandoned encampments and respond to biohazard incidents on a scheduled and as-needed basis. The Service Provider will be responsible for working in coordination with City staff to sort and remove trash, sanitize the area cleaned, and if necessary, collect and transport any trash and identified personal possessions. The types of trash may include but are not limited to: biohazards and other potentially hazardous materials, which may be scattered, containerized or stockpiled. Areas may include human waste, bodily fluids, syringes, needles, petroleum based products, containers of gasoline, diesel fuel, pressurized containers of propane, chemicals, contaminated soil, solid waste, common garbage and used batteries. The City of Vancouver in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
