The project includes the site improvements of Windermere Park including site work, a new trail system, site amenities, and playground equipment. The expected date of award for the Bid Package 1 contract is scheduled for September 19th, 2023, with construction to start in October 2023. Sealed lump sum bids for this prime contract will be received by the City of Shakopee at the office of the City Clerk until 2:00 p.m. Local Time on September 12th, 2023, at the Shakopee City Hall, 485 Gorman Street, Shakopee, MN 55379, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers at Shakopee City Hall. Bid Package #1 includes: Earthwork, site removals, retaining walls & utilities Proposals shall be submitted on the bid forms supplied in the Project Manual in full accordance with bid documents and Contract Documents as prepared by SRF Consulting. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check, or a bid bond in the amount of at least five (5%) percent of the amount of the bid made payable to The City of Shakopee as bid security that, if the bid is accepted, the contractor will execute the contract and file the required performance and payment bonds within the allotted time period after notice of award of contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond. The provisions of MN Statute 16C.285 Responsible Contractor are imposed as a requirement of this contract. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
