Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

This project is to repair the HVAC systems for Building 100, Bay D, including the repair of the equipment platforms/catwalks as required by the attached 100% complete Design, Specifications, and Design Analysis. This is to include any utilities as required by this Design package. Construction, and installation must comply with UFC code, The Hill AFB Base Facility Design Standard, and UFC 1-200-01. Special attention must be given to UFC 1-200-01, DOD BUILDING CODE, as it is the foundation of the DOD codes and requirements for construction and must be consulted when designing, installing, and or constructing anything for the DOD. UFC 1-200-01 will point you to the building code (IBC, NFPA, Etc.) and/or the UFC(s) with the requirements for the Design, Installation, and/or Construction work to be done. This project must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes (See 2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS) as well as all mandatory federal, DoD, and Air Force requirements whether or not listed specifically herein (See section 2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS). Anything within this SOW that conflicts with relevant code must be considered in error and the conflicting code must be followed instead. For their own protection and benefit, the contractor must notify the government, both the 75th CEG Project Manager and the Contracting Officer, in writing of any such conflicts as soon as they are identified. Code order of precedence must be per UFC 1-200-01, Section 1-6 UFC Hierarchy. There will be no waivers, trade-offs, or compromises made with respect to code compliance with this project. The corresponding licensed member of the contractor’s design team must determine the requirements for compliance and whether or not the design and installation for this project meets those requirements. Request for information submittals (RFIs) must “not” be used to request deviation or waiver from code but must be used instead to request information required by the contractor to determine the applicability of code and or the proper elements required by their design to meet code. The contractor must consult with the appropriate licensed member of their design team about code requirements and the mandatory design elements required to meet those code requirements
