Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
Contractor shall evaluate the structure and perform a deconstructive analysis of the wall documenting the cause of the masonry failure. The structural engineer will submit a report detailing the structural integrity of the wall, the masonry, grout, reinforcement, and foundation. Contractor shall remove the masonry, reinforcement, stairs, and foundation to the extent required to ensure that construction of the new masonry wall is structurally sound. Design will consider proper coping, flashing, gutters, downspouts, and sloping of the existing floor surface to keep water from entering the wall structure. Design should consider the feasibility of adding doorways to enclose the breezeways to keep weather out.
