The objective of this project is for the Contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to investigate the condition of the existing curtain wall, including glazing gaskets and perimeter sealants, and to remove and replace the existing failed glazing gaskets at United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) Building 2900, and its associated Central Utility Plant (CUP) Building 2901. All work shall be in accordance with all Federal, State, and Glazing Industry Installation Standards, Codes and Laws, to include preparation of a Survey Report, Remediation Work Plan, Submittals, Logistics and Glazing Gasket Replacement, and Field Air and Water Infiltration Testing as discussed below. Base Bid shall be based on gasket replacement for both interior and exterior gaskets, of the Insulated Glazing Units (IGU) on the two buildings combined and identified in the sketch labed E2900 -E2901 Window Seal Areas. Work shall be accomplished in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, UFC 1-200-02, Unified Facilities Guide Specification (UFGS) 08 44 00, and this Scope of Work (SOW). Project submittals shall include curtain wall survey, evaluation, priority categorization, logistics, construction and testing documentation, product data, shop drawings and warranties in compliance with UFC, UFGS, and this SOW.
