Michelle-Patricia Drainage, City of Covington, Louisiana Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of certified check, cashiers check, or Bid Bond as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A.C, in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid and payable without conditions to the Owner as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute a Contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. Please submit questions in writing to the city engineer at cbaker@covla.com. No questions will be accepted after 2:00 PM one week before the bids are opened. A section of underground storm drain, approximately 440 feet in length, between Michelle Drive and Patricia Drive in the River Forest neighborhood needs to be replaced. The storm drain is in an easement on Michelle between 9 Michelle and 11 Michelle, and on Patricia between 10 Patricia and 12 Patricia. This section of storm drain carries storm water from Michelle to Patricia. Then another section of drain, not in the scope of this project, carries storm water from Patricia eastward, eventually emptying into Patricia Canal.
