The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, bonds and insurance necessary to perform all work required for the project known as Lower Artichoke Reservoir Dam Spillway Protection Project - Contract # 24-02, in strict accordance with the Contract Documents and all related Drawings and Specifications. The said Documents, Specifications, Drawings and any supplemental general conditions are incorporated herein by reference and are made a part of this Agreement. All questions regarding the bid/contract documents, including but not limited to a request for interpretation of such documents, must be sent by e-mail addressed to Tom Watkins, Business Manager, at twatkins@cityofnewburyport.com and to be given consideration must be received by 5:00 PM, Thursday September 7, 2023. This project generally consists of the following Installation of City-furnished trap rock at the upstream face of the spillway to the contours shown to create a foundation to support large sand bags for flood protection in the event of a major storm. The total amount of stone needed for the entire Project has been estimated at 1,900 tons and this amount has been delivered to the Project site. The City will furnish additional stone if and as necessary to complete the project. The Project also includes: clearing of vegetation and topsoil removal; construction of vehicular access ramps using the City-furnished trap rock and supplemented with smaller crushed stone furnished by the Contractor, if and as directed by the City, to improve the ramps surface for the movement of heavy equipment; furnishing and installing fill material, loam, and seed to repair an eroded portion of the earthen dam crest adjacent to the spillway; furnishing, installing, and removing a temporary turbidity curtain upstream and downstream of the spillway; compliance with all permit conditions as provided in the Contract Documents; and all incidentals.
