Engineer's estimate: $976,286.76 SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to complete the Project that includes: shape, grade, compact and pave with compacted hot mix asphalt on approximately 32,903 square feet on existing roadway, sweeping, clean up, traffic control and all other work necessary to satisfactorily complete this project as shown on the Bid Documents, including the Plans and Specifications. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashiers check, or a bid bond in favor of the District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California. The District shall award the Contract for the Project to the lowest responsible bidder as determined from the base bid by the District. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technical errors, discrepancies or informalities of a bid not affected by law, if to do so seems to best serve the public interest.
