No definite date for the rebid.** The purpose of this Project is to restore the damaged Toro Canyon Oil Seep Containment System (System) and to protect and improve the resiliency of the System to fires, flooding, and debris flows to reduce the potential for future oil release and protect residents, habitat, wildlife, and receiving water quality. The Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Coast Water Board) understands that the Project includes the following activities: 1. Replacement of the Oil Water Separator (OWS) within the existing fenced limits. A new fenced enclosure will also be constructed around the OWS. 2. Installment of an overflow weir to prevent high water from entering the OWS system including a weir box inflow and outflow pipe 3. Construction of a concrete debris protection wall on the west and south sides of the OWS. 4. Replacement of the existing underground oil pipeline with a new pipe compatible for the conveyance of crude oil, three linear feet of which will be buried within the channel. 5. Construction of a concrete low-flow channel crossing with supporting downgradient grouted riprap apron to protect the new buried oil pipeline and provide access to the OWS system. 6. Removal and closure of the existing underground storage tank (UST), which includes emptying, cleaning, and removing the UST. Additionally, this process will form the new foundation for an Above-Ground Storage Tank (AST). 7.
