Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rapid City, South Dakota. Design plans call for site work for a residential development; for paving for a residential development; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Parks and Recreation is seeking proposals for professional design and bidding services for Project No. PR23-6192 Knollwood Park Redevelopment. As presented during the 2021 Vision Fund application cycle, Knollwood Drainage Area/Park is a blighted and underutilized area within the parks system. The neighborhood deserves a place to spend quality time outdoors. Since the main demographic of park users will be an underserved community, representing primarily low- and moderate-income households, the Community Investment Committee has recommended allocating CDBG funding for the design and engineering of this project. Staff proposes to hire a Consultant to design and submit construction documents to redevelop this area into a safe, attractive City park and natural area. As of October 2, 2024, the project is in design. The construction document completion timeline has not been released. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been determined. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified.
