Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rapid City, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This project includes the rehabilitation of the north half of the intersection of St. Charles Street and 7th Street, including pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk and C-wall and the replacement of approximately 400 feet of 8" ductile iron water main with pvc water main, and trench patch associated with the water main replacement. This project is needed due to a water main break in the existing ductile iron water main that caused pavement failures in the vicinity of the water main break. Every request for such interpretation shall be in writing and addressed to the City Project Manager/PE Michelle Lashley at Michelle.Lashley@rcgov.org , or by mail at 300 Sixth Street, Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701, and must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids in order for the City Project Manager to give it appropriate consideration. Each proposal must contain a certified check or cashier's check for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Such check shall be certified or issued by either a State or National Bank and payable to the City of Rapid City, Rapid City, South Dakota, or in lieu thereof, a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount bid All work with the exception of vegetation watering shall be complete by November 1, 2023.
