General work description: The work to be done generally consists of installing a PCC pedestrian path, curb ramps, a rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) system, striping and pavement marking at the Bixler Road and Regatta Drive intersection in the Discovery Bay area. Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, may be viewed but not obtained at the Public Works Department, 255 Glacier Drive, Martinez, California 94553-4897, Monday - Thursday (7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), and Friday (7:00 a.m. – noon and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.). Plans and specifications can be obtained via the Contra Costa County Public Works Department’s Online Planroom A non-refundable service charge for bid documents is required in the amount of $30 (sales tax included). Shipping charges are extra, depending on the delivery method. The Public Works Department does not guarantee the arrival of the plans and specifications in time for bidding. All bidder questions/inquiries received before 12:00 p.m. the Thursday prior to the scheduled bid opening will be posted with their responses on the Public Works Web Site .
