Renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Rockville, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 15,025-square-foot, two-story above grade clubhouse / community center.
The project consists of renovations and additions to the former Montgomery County Maryland Animal Shelter to become the Rockville Welcome Center for CASA. The building is 2-stories and approximately 15,025-sf, with proposed additions at the front and rear entrances. The existing building is not fully occupied due to the uninhabitable condition of the former 6,321-sf dog kennel area. The remaining existing office areas are currently occupied by CASA. The proposed project will make full use of the existing structure and will feature a business occupancy with Office, Community meeting and vocational training spaces. Work includes, but is not limited to: select demo, CIP concrete, masonry, interior finish carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, storefront, gypsum board, ACT, resilient base, resilient tile flooring, painting, panel signage, fire extinguishers, roller shades, kitchen cabinets, stone countertops, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, earthwork, asphalt paving and concrete paving.
