Site work and paving for a civil project in Eastman, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Sealed bids for construction of the FY 2022 CDBG Proposed Storm Drainage Improvements Any Contractor performing the proposed work must be a licensed contractor by the State of Georgia. License numbers are requested to be written on the face of the bid envelope, but not required. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Work To Be Done: The Work To Be Done shall consist of furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to construct the FY 2022 CDBG Proposed Storm Drainage Improvements. In general, construction consists of +/-5,600 linear feet of curb and gutter, +/-140 square yards of concrete driveway aprons, +/- 150 square yards of Class "B" Pavement replacement, +/- 20 square yards of sawcut, remove, and replace existing asphalt, +/- 70 linear feet of 18" RCP storm drainage pipe, drainage structures, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and construction drawings No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for 60 days. Contractor performing the work must be licensed by State of Georgia. Work shall consist of furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to construct the FY 2022 CDBG Proposed Storm Drainage Improvements. In general, construction consists of curb and gutter, concrete driveway aprons, Class "B" Pavement replacement, sawcut, remove, and replace existing asphalt, RCP storm drainage pipe, drainage structures, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and construction drawings. Work will be awarded in one contract with a time of 180 days. Contract is to be funded by Georgia Department of Community Affairs - Community Development Block Grant Program grants. Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, for affirmative action, ensure equal opportunity employment, and applicable timetables and goals. Project is under Section 3 of 1968 HUD Act and Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. Owner reserves the right to reject any bids, waive informalities, and re-advertise. :All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing. Pre-Bid Conference: No pre-bid conference will be held for this project. Permits: All necessary permits for this project are expected to be acquired prior to construction with the exception of the Notice of Intent for land disturbance activities No land acquisition is expected to be required for this project. Funding: Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs - Community Development Block Grant program. All Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity employment, and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4, as applicable to the area of the project. Bidders must also comply with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91. The work to be performed under this contract is under a program providing direct Federal financial assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701 U. Section 3 requires that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for employment and training be given to the low-income residents of the project area, and contracts for work in connection with the project to be awarded to business concerns which are located in or owned in substantial part by persons residing in the area of the project. Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.
