The Project includes the following Work:
Construction, installation, and setting-to-work of an external stand-alone gravity-flow ultra-violet (UV) disinfection system to treat effluent discharge from the wastewater treatment plant to meet specified standards. The UV installation will include all equipment, civil works, site piping, electrical services, controls, testing and commissioning, fabrication and accessory equipment necessary to provide a fullyfunctioning system. Project includes new structural concrete tank and wood pole barn construction. The project will require that the UV system is up and fully operational by May 1, 2024 to comply with NYSDEC requirements. The project also includes the demolition and removal of the existing influent screen and grinder, grit removal system and (2) final clarifiers mechanical equipment. The installation of new replacement equipment for the influent screen, grit removal system and (2) final clarifiers equipment will include all equipment, civil works, site piping, electrical services, controls, testing and commissioning, fabrication and accessory equipment necessary to provide a fully-functioning system. Two Prime Contracts;
General Contract:
Construction of a new concrete structure complete with a continuous openchannel to accommodate a disinfection system comprising banks of ultraviolet transmitting lamps, controllers, power distribution units, automatic mechanical/chemical cleaning system and variable output electric ballasts. The UV system shall be complete and operational with all control equipment and accessories. The project will require that the UV system is up and fully operational by May 1, 2024 to comply with NYSDEC requirements. The concrete structure will include influent well, effluent box, level control weir, and access. The channel structure will be protected by a canopy constructed utilizing pre-engineered, post-frame and truss system. Demolition and removal of the existing influent screen and grinder, grit removal system and (2) final clarifiers mechanical equipment. Installation of new replacement equipment for the influent screen, grit removal system and (2) final clarifiers equipment will include all equipment, civil works, site piping, electrical services, controls, testing and commissioning, fabrication and accessory equipment necessary to provide a fully-functioning system. Electrical Contract:
Electrical construction, including site work, trenching, wiring, conduit, fixtures, devices, connections to influent screen and control panels; grit removal system and control panels; clarifier motors and control panels; UV equipment, motors, controls, lighting, terminations, new control wiring and panels. Demolition work to include disconnection of existing influent screen, grit removal system and clarifier equipment (control panels). The project will require that the UV system is up and fully operational by May 1, 2024 to comply with NYSDEC requirements.
