Uwchlan Ave. (S.R. 113) to Cul-de-sac - full road width. Approximate length = 740'. Approximate road width = varies 17'-19'. Approximate total area = 2,251 square yards. Base Repair estimate = 563 square yards. Terra Vista Drive - From Old Kings Highway W. to Cul-de-sac. - full road width. Approximate length = 301'. Approximate road width = 28'. Approximate total area = 1,554 square yards. Base Repair estimate = 389 square yards. Clarification Deadline: 9/15/2023 2:00 PM As of September 26, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the East Caln Township in the amount equal to Ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid must be submitted with the proposal as Bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond with an eighteen (18) month warranty within ten (10) days of the bid award, executed by a surety authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This work is anticipated to be below the thresholds as established by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act for use of prevailing minimum wage rates. Bidders are advised that they must comply with all State anti-kickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. East Caln Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to refuse any or all Bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in Bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof. A maintenance bond shall be supplied prior to the completion of the work and release of final payment. This maintenance bond shall be in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract plus Change Orders or Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000), whichever is greater. The Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete by Monday, December 25, 2023, and will be completed and ready for final payment by Friday, December 29, 2023. For paving scheduled after October 31, the contractor must fill out form CS-413ES a minimum of 14 days prior to the date of scheduled paving. There is a liquidated damage amount of $885.00 for each day that expires after the Friday, December 29, 2023, date.
