Site work for a civil project in Bend, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The proposed work consists of the following major items as further defined in the Proposal Documents: The proposed work consists of the following major items as further defined in the Proposal Documents: o Furnish and Install Approximately 6,660-LF of 48", 42" and 36" HDPE Pipe and Associated Bends, Reducers, Vented Cleanout Assemblies; o Furnish and Install Reinforced Concrete Intake Structure; o Furnish and install Energy Dissipation Assemblies; o Provide associated mobilization, selective demolition, trenching, earthwork, backfill, compaction, surface restoration, other restoration; o Coordinate utility locations and relocations as necessary; coordinate with Owner and Owner's Engineer; and furnish and install all other associated meter assemblies, stub turnouts, air and vacuum valve assemblies, valves and valve cans, and appurtenances necessary to provide a complete project ready for irrigation delivery. The time for substantial completion will commence on September 2, 2024 (no in-canal work until Nov. 1, 2024) and end on March 31, 2025. Liquidated damages of $2,000.00 per day for the first ten (10) days and $10,000.00 per day thereafter will be assessed if the contractor fails to achieve substantial completion within the time allowed. Restoration, demobilization from the site, and all closeout and punch-list items are to be completed by April 30, 2025. This project is subject to Oregon prevailing wage laws and the Federal Davis-Bacon Act (ORS279C.800 to 279C.870), whichever is higher. The Owner is using the Best Value Procurement method for selecting a Contractor for this Project, based upon a combination of scoring for a Qualifications Element and a Proposal Cost Element. Details for Proposing are contained in the Instructions to Proposers of the Proposal Documents. Each Proposal must be submitted as prescribed and accompanied by a certified check or Proposal bond executed on the form bound within the Contract Documents or one substantially similar, payable to the Swalley Irrigation District, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount Proposal. The successful Proposer will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the full amount of the contract price. Any Proposer may withdraw its Proposal prior to the time of Proposal opening and no Proposer may withdraw its Proposal after the time of Proposal opening. A general description of the work to be done is contained in the REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The scope is indicated on the accompanying drawings and specified in applicable parts of these Contract Documents. The work contemplated under this Contract includes all labor, tools, machinery, materials, transportation, equipment and services necessary for, and reasonably incidental to, the completion of all construction in connection with the project described in the specifications and the accompanying drawings.
