Questions Due Date: Aug 29th 2023, 5:00 PM PDT Contact Information: Sherry Arciniega, sherry.arciniega@seattle.gov The City of Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to apply for a new water right and to develop a design and support the construction of a new set of wells and water works to reliably supply 2000 gallons per minute (gpm) of water to the Cedar River Hatchery complex up to year-round for incubating and rearing sockeye. Consultant services will include assisting SPU to complete the process of an already started application for a new ground water right and to design and support construction of a new system of wells on the north side of the Cedar River in the general vicinity of the existing hatchery complex as well as conveyance, power, and control systems, as necessary, to supply that water to the existing hatchery headworks. The new system may include several wells in order to provide a supply that will not be interrupted by drops in any single well's production. The estimated Contract value is $1.5 million and is anticipated to go through 2nd quarter 2027.
