Scope of Work: BON AIR PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 2 involves the construction of an asphalt trail from McRae Road to Polk Street (behind Bon Air Elementary School), concrete sidewalk along Polk Street and Pulliam Street, additional asphalt trail along the Bon Air Library frontage, and to install neighborhood byway signing along Bullington, Lancraft, and Western Roads. A pedestrian bridge is proposed along the trail near the beginning of the project at McRae Road. The proposed improvements consist of approximately 4,100 feet of sidewalk, trail, a bridge and curb and gutter, along with associated drainage, grading, and erosion and sediment control work. Contractors must be on VDOT's current Pre-qualified list at the time/ date set for the opening of bids in order to be eligible for this contract. B. If CAD files are available, the County does not release, nor authorize its engineering and design consultants to release them prior to execution of the Notice to Proceed.
