Site work and renovation of a civil project in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project consists of the upgrades to the East End Wastewater Treatment Facility secondary clarifiers and primary sludge gallery, including selected pumps and piping, plant water pumps and primary sludge gravity thickener #1, replacement of secondary clarifier mechanisms #1, #2 and #3, replacement of influent and effluent slide gates for each secondary clarifier (6 total), and affiliated electrical, instrumentation and control modifications. This project will include architectural and structural upgrades to the primary gallery electrical room, including HVAC modifications. The Owner is pre-purchasing the secondary clarifier equipment and the influent slide gates and actuators for each secondary clarifier. This equipment will be provided by the Owner to be installed by the Contractor. Similarly, the Owner will have the SCADA panels for the project fabricated and tested under a separate contract. Bidding Documents may be obtained on or afterAugust 24, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. electronically at no cost from the Issuing Office. Hard copies of the bidding documents will not be issued. Interested parties shall contact Kleinfelder with the subject line "PWD EEWWTF Secondary Clarifiers and Primary Gallery Upgrade" to be included on the Bidder's list. Instructions for accessing the Bidding Documents will then be provided by email. To be considered a responsive bidder, the Contractor shall have obtained at least one set of Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. The Bid may not be awarded to the Bidder unless a record for obtaining at least one set of Bidding Documents exists in the Issuing Office using the name that is to appear on the Bid Form. The Owner has scheduled two (2) additional onsite walkthroughs to be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. and Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. Contractors will be provided access to the site and project areas.
