Featherstone Township Bid Specifications for Road Maintenance Services November 1, 2023 - October 31, 2025 1. Featherstone Township has approximately 36 miles of paved and gravel roads. These specifications constitute minimum acceptable criteria. Contractors must furnish their own equipment for maintenance of township roads. All services will be at the direction of the Township Board of Supervisors. 2. The Township Board of supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities as to changes. The adaptability of services and equipment will be considered in the best interest of Featherstone Township. No contract is binding upon the Township until it has been approved by the Township Board of Supervisors, signed and delivered in final form to the contractor. 3. This bid is for year-round road maintenance. The bid should specify the rate per hour and list the size/model of each piece of equipment to be used for road maintenance. Motor grader should list length of the blade. Winter maintenance requires a minimum of two snowplows on the road for any major snowfall. Sand and salt will be purchased from and paid directly to Goodhue County or another provider as approved. The bid should also list the rate per hour for labor for sign replacement, tree trimming, lawn mowing and maintenance of the town hall property, etc. 4. Contractors shall guarantee all labor and materials provided, against defects and/or workmanship. Labor or materials found to be defective by the Township Board of Supervisors shall be replaced at the contractor's sole expense, including labor. The contract period is for 24 months beginning on or around November 1, 2023. Start date of contract may be negotiated.
