As of November 7, 2023, project was awarded to GoreCon Inc., awarded amount is $128,586.04. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Owner. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor (Public Works Contractors Bond Law of et seq) & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond Bond in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to the Owner. Said surety to be licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The contractor must utilize, to the greatest extent feasible, minority and/or women owned business (MBE/WBE) concerns. The contractor must establish a 3% goal for WBE participation and a 5% goal for MBE participation. The contractor is required to utilize, to the greatest extent feasible, low-income area businesses, trainees, and employees within the general trade area. The contracting goal is 10% and the employment goal is 30%. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. Question Deadline 09/08/2023 at 3:00 PM ET Every request for such interpretation should be in writing submitted via PennBid If, at the time this Contract is to be awarded, the lowest bid submitted by a responsible bidder exceeds the amount of CDBG funds available to the Owner for this Contract, the scope of work may be reduced by the Owner by reducing the project scope to achieve a contract cost which does not exceed the CDBG funds available. If the scope of work is reduced, it would be reduced by first removing the block of Forest Street from 24 th Street to 25th Street. If additional reduction is necessary, the scope would be further reduced by removing the block of Forest Street from 23rd Street to 24th Street. This project consists of the following a. 1.5" mill and overlay on one (1)) Borough Road. Please note the installation of Safety Edge is incidental to this work. b. Base repair as needed. If at the time this Contract is to be awarded, the lowest bid submitted by a responsible bidder exceeds the amount of CDBG funds available to the Owner for this Contract, the scope of work will be reduced. The Owner shall determine which sections of road will be eliminated.
