Obligatory dam safety upgrades to the Beaver Creek Dam spillway necessitate moving the pump station away from its current location downstream of the dam. Additionally, the Drinking Water Infrastructure Plan for the Crozet water service area recommends installation of a new Raw Water Pump Station and Intake to meet new minimum instream flow requirements and provide adequate raw water pumping capacity to serve the growing Crozet community for the next 50 years. The new pump station will be constructed adjacent to the dam on the Beaver Creek Reservoir.
